Ms Ormiston and the Health Promoting Team are delighted to
announce that Scoil Mhuire have been awarded their Health Promoting flag. Carmel Halpin, the Health Promoting Officer,
made the presentation on the 18th of December 2019. Every
pupil in the school was presented with a Health Promoting towel and some
parents from the PA made delicious fruit platters to celebrate the occasion - a
big thank you to Patricia O’Reilly, Mary Flanagan and Jody Gilsenan!
Well done to the HPS team for all their hard work over the past
two and half years for embedding and encouraging healthy habits over our 4 main
areas; To Improve and work on our Positive Mental Health, To Improve our
Nutrition and Eating Habits, To Promote Physical Activity and To Promote Hand
Hygiene. We will continue to work on these areas and make Scoil
Mhuire a super healthy school!
Thanks to the whole school community; staff, pupils and parents
for embracing the process and implementing it in their daily lives making it a
huge success. Let’s keep up the good work in the new year!
