It has been an egg-cellent final few days of term in Seomra a hAon. The boys and girls have engaged in several Easter themed activities to mark this special celebration.
The children learned about the story of Holy Week, designed excellent Easter chicks using coloured crepe paper, wrote creative Easter stories and completed an Easter online Kahoot! quiz to name but a few of the enjoyable class exercises. Check out the egg-traordinary artists at work and the finished masterpieces below. Ms Martin thinks they are all ‘crackin!’On the last day of term, there was two events held. Firstly it was Daffodil Day, a day to support the Irish Cancer Society. All the children wore yellow or orange to mark this special day. Ms Malone and Ms Martin are so proud of the generosity displayed and donations given by their class groups. Maith sibh!
Secondly Ms Martin hosted an Easter themed Hot Chocolate Party as a result of the children collecting all ten eggs in their Easter basket. It was a brilliant morning full of sweet treats, hot chocolate and chuckles.
Ms Martin, Fiona and the children had a 'hopping' time at this well deserved celebration.
