Congratulations to the Pen Licence Recipients in Room 1

The Pen Licence in Scoil Mhuire is a much talked about topic at the moment especially in Room 1. Earlier in the week Ms Martin explained to the children that it would soon be time for the children in 3rd Class to graduate from writing using a pencil.

Ms Martin and the children discussed how to obtain a pen licence and displayed it on a checklist pictured below.

Following this announcement, all the children have been putting in their very best efforts to present neat cursive handwriting across all curricular areas.

On Friday last, Mrs Ward visited Room 1 to present certificates and pens to the first six children in the class who have earned their pen licences. Ms Martin would like to congratulate Halle-Mae, Maya, James Cassidy, James Carville, Aoibhe and Katie for consistently using beautiful cursive handwriting. Maith sibh!

All the children in 3rd Class are determined to continue using their best writing in school. It is no doubt that there will be more pen licence recipients in 3rd Class next Friday! Ms Martin is very excited and proud of all the boys and girls.
