Junior and Senior Infants Free Play Day

Unfortunately our Junior and Senior Infants school tour was cancelled due to the bad weather but we didn’t let the rain dampen our spirits! We had lots of fun in school instead! J

Junior Infants 2019 School Visit

On Thursday 30th May 2019 the boys and girls of our new Junior Infant class for September 2019 came to visit the school. They played with the activities and in the Aistear village and enjoyed the sand tray! Their teacher, Ms Rosie Ormiston, took them on a tour of the school and the grounds outside before they came back inside and danced to Go Noodle.  Ms Ormiston read a story called 'Don't Eat the Teacher' before they went home, they really enjoyed the story!
We are really looking forward to having all our lovely new pupils joining us at Scoil Mhuire Moynalty very soon.

Easter Bonnet Day in Junior Infants

Today we celebrated our Easter holidays by wearing in Easter bonnets that we created and made at home.  We are super creative, don’t you think?!  Teacher is amazed by our wonderful creations!

World Book Day in Junior Infants

Today we celebrated World Book Day in school. (We were a little early celebrating!!)

We wore our pyjamas to school and brought in our favourite book and teddy bear.  Teacher read us some stories and then we read and talked about our favourite books with 3^rd and 4^th class and drank hot chocolate with marshmallows and had some chocolate chip cookies too!  

It was such a fun day – we wish school was like this every day!!! J

Junior Infants Grandparents Day

                                Grandparents Day in Junior Infants

Here in Scoil Mhuire we celebrated Grandparents Day as part of Catholic Schools Week.  Junior Infants were so excited to have their Grannies and Grandads come in for a little visit.  We made some special handprint cards for them which were very much appreciated!  During the visit, we played some interactive games on the IWB, we read stories together and we made some things with the activities.  It was such a lovely afternoon! Our Grannies and Grandads enjoyed a cup of tea and some biscuits and a chat with other grandparents before they went home.  It was a really special day!
