Defence Forces Visit
On Wednesday 13th of January 2016 representatives from the Defence Forces visited our school to deliver our National Flag and a copy of the Proclamation as part of the 1916 Commemoration Programme. During the ceremony a 6th class pupil Cáit Gallagher read the fourth paragraph of the Proclamation. The eldest & youngest pupils in the school were chosen to receive the flag & the Proclamation on behalf of the school. Taylor Smith from 6th Class & twins David & Liam McQuade from Junior Infants. Sergeant Ricardo Lucchesi & Private Tom Moran visited our school on Wednesday 13th of January 2016. All children assembled in the GP Hall and were waving homemade flags for the occasion. There was a great buzz of excitement during the visit.
