December news from Junior and Senior Infants

December News from Junior and Senior Infants

We had a very busy month in December getting ready for Christmas, learning songs and poems and completing fun Christmas activities. We also had a special visitor in our classroom this month all the way from the North Pole! His name was Harry and we really enjoyed having him n our classroom with us.

Religion

In our religion, we learned all about Advent and how we get ready for the birth of Jesus. We created our own advent wreaths as we counted down the weeks until Christmas.

Science

In our science, we completed activities based on magnetism. We learned about objects that are attracted to magnets and objects that repel them. It was great fun!

Christmas story evening

The day after our Christmas Carol Service, we had a Christmas story afternoon as a treat. We had some popcorn and marshmallows while we listened to teacher reading some Christmas stories.

Junior and Senior Infants wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
